This year we are supporting two causes, one national and one international.
Christians against Poverty (CAP)
Millions of families across the UK are worried about making ends meet this Christmas. Many fear they won't be able to give their children gifts, put enough food on the table, or manage rising energy bills.
This was Paul and Sam's reality last Christmas.
The maternal mortality rate in Chad is the second worst in the world. For every 100,000 live births, over 1,000 mothers die within six weeks of having their baby. Mothers and their new-borns are dying from birth complications and infections that could easily be treated.
At Guinebor II Hospital in Chad, BMS World Mission workers provide essential medical care for new-borns and their mothers.
Gifts can be made by cheque (made payable to Bentley Baptist Church and marked "Christmas" on the back) or by cash. If giving by cash and you wish your donation to be gift-aided, please place in an envelope and include your name, post code and house number. Alternatively, gifts can be made by online bank transfer to the Church's bank account (details can be found on our Giving Page) - please use reference "Christmas".
