February 2023

Elders, 6th February

Ian - New wineskins for new wine - "I'm doing a new thing, do you not perceive it?"

Graham - Reflecting on what God has said over the last five years or so, can see that He is already fulfilling some of it. Reflecting further back, the church has always been one that's willing to change and step into what God is saying.

Ian - Enlarge the tent and strengthen the tent pegs. Renew has been there a while, but it's a tent peg. A few more are needed in order to stretch out a canopy.

Lorraine - Going back to the paperchain of people from 2018, still linked, but strategically placed.

Ruth - Reminded of a prophetic word given to a previous church in the 1980s. Just as the eagle stirs its nest, making it uncomfortable, and pushes the young out in order to make them do what they were born to do, so God will stir the nest if we don't step into what He has called us to.

Graham - There are a those who say they don't know a lot and are still learning, but the question is, are they applying and living out what they do know?

Gill, 21st February

I was listening to the song "The Father's House" and felt that these words really spoke about Renew church. I also thought they're prophetic for the church.

Prodigals come home

The helpless find hope

Love is on the move

When the Father's in the room

Prison doors fling wide

The dead come to life

Love is on the move

When the Father's in the room

Miracles take place

The cynical find faith

And love is breaking through

When the Father's in the room

The Jericho walls are quakin'

Strongholds now are shakin'

Love is breaking through

When the Father's in the room

I said love is breaking through

When the Father's in the room

Karen, 22nd February

As I have been praying I got a picture of God hovering over a black cloud of darkness which had the words depression, anxiety and addictions covering many people below. I feel that God wants to declare that there is hope and freedom in Jesus over every heart and mind.

January 2023

Martin Wright, 8th January - Saw a vision of a huge crowd of people surrounding a ladder that goes up high, but no one is climbing the ladder.

David Bellerby, 14th January - Without Change, there is No Growth (Romans 12:2) I believe God has been reminding me this week about the connection between change and growth. As is often with me He illustrates with examples through His creation.

I was reminded of how snakes have to shed their skins in order to grow so I googled it to find out more. Some species have to shed their skins up to 12 times a year. The snake is continually growing, the skin does not, so it has no choice in the matter. It reminded me that we too need to shed things in our lives in order to grow and be more like Jesus. I believe many in the church are hungry for growth, but are we willing to change? Are we willing to shed ungodly ways - wrong attitudes and beliefs, negative thinking, bad habits, love of worldly things?

Then I was reminded of crabs and how they have to leave the safety of their hard outer shells and for a while are soft and vulnerable to predators until the new shell has hardened. Changing can sometimes make us vulnerable because it can mean taking risks and moving out of our comfort zone. God then reminded of the hermit crab - they are soft bodied and rely on living in other shells. They have actually been observed gathering together to measure each other up eventually forming an orderly queue with the largest one moving into a new shell followed by a chain of exchanges.

Change is a life process of stages often being led by someone at the next step, but we can be assured that God goes behind and before us (Psalm 139). It also reminded me that change is for everyone at whatever stage we are at in our walk with God. We are never too old to change - there's always more. Also we are never too young to change - "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth" said Solomon when reflecting in his old age (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

Are we comfortable where we are or are we longing for more of God and the moving of Holy Spirit in us and among us?

Prophecies and words of knowledge Away day 2022

Sheep:

         • Different breeds of sheep grazing together with no drama

         • All feeding on the same thing

         • 80% were lying down until one black sheep walked away and they all followed.

• A gate and cattle grid - represent barriers we need to be braver to overcome. Larger trees surrounded smaller ones and sheltered them

• Molehills - all connected underground

• Fallen acorns - not all fall in the right place

• Variety of trees rooted in the same soil

• Lots of signs and directions - God will keep us on track if we trust in Him

• Beauty in both formal gardens and natural growth

• A healthy growing oak with a hollow

• Mother Theresa quote: God doesn't call us to be successful, just faithful

• Sense that growth should be fun and joyful

• Groom and groomsmen walking around before the wedding - a sense of expectation

• New wine = new wineskins, so new people = new culture

• 'Cast the nets over the other side'

• Oaks of righteousness (Isaiah 61) Press into the Holy Spirit

• 2 Corinthians 5 - new creations, the old has gone, the new has come

February 2021

2nd February - through Sally, as she spent time praying following the Praise and Prayer outline:

Whilst praying for blessing over Bentley I saw a picture of a low mist/fog laying like a blanket over all the houses/buildings which I felt was Bentley. Gradually, the mist lowered through the roofs of the houses, disappearing inside and infiltrating the whole house and the people living there. It was invisible in the house but the people could feel something different. They started to question what this was. Speaking to their neighbours/others , they had felt the same thing happen in their house too. Following this, they started to notice things were changing in their lives/families for the better. They wanted to understand what had happened and started to seek answers.

Jeremiah 33: 1-3, 6-11

33 While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the LORD gave him this second message: 2 "This is what the LORD says-the LORD who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the LORD: 3 Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.

6 "Nevertheless, the time will come when I will heal Bentley's wounds and give it prosperity and true peace. 7 I will restore the fortunes of South Yorkshire and England and rebuild their towns. 8 I will cleanse them of their sins against me and forgive all their sins of rebellion. 9 Then this city Bentley will bring me joy, glory, and honour before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.

10 "This is what the LORD says: You have said, 'This is a desolate land where people and animals have all disappeared.' Yet in the empty streets of Bentley and South Yorkshire's other towns, there will be heard once more 11 the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the LORD. They will sing,

'Give thanks to the LORD of Heaven's Armies, for the LORD is good. His faithful love endures forever!'

For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the LORD.

December 2020

Isaiah 62 Brought by Ruth to Friday prayer at the end of 2020.

Because I love Bentley, I will not keep still. Because my heart yearns for Bentley, I cannot remain silent.

I will not stop praying for Bentley until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch (this calls to mind the picture I had of the bonfires/beacons in Bentley blazing up and coming together until the whole map was consumed). The nations will see your righteousness. World leaders will be blinded by your glory. And you will be given a new name by the Lord's own mouth. The Lord will hold you in his hand for all to see - a splendid crown in the hand of God. Never again will you be called "The Forsaken City" or "The Desolate Land. Your new name will be "The City of God's Delight" and "The Bride of God, for the Lord delights in you and will claim you as his bride. Your children will commit themselves to you, O Bentley, just as a young man commits himself to his bride. Then God will rejoice over you as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride.

O Bentley, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Bentley the pride of the earth. The Lord has sworn to Bentley by his own strength: "I will never again hand you over to your enemies. Never again will foreign warriors come and take away your grain and new wine. You raised the grain, and you will eat it, praising the Lord. Within the courtyards of the Temple, you yourselves will drink the wine you have pressed." Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see. The Lord has sent this message to every land: "Tell the people of Bentley: 'Look, your Saviour is coming. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.'" They will be called "The Holy People" and "The People Redeemed by the Lord." And Bentley will be known as "The Desirable Place" and "The City No Longer Forsaken."

November 2017 - December 2019

7th November 2017

Through GS - Jeremiah 31: 7-9

This is what the LORD says:

"Sing with joy for Jacob; shout for the foremost of the nations. Make your praises heard, and say, LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel.'' 8 See, I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the ends of the earth. Among them will be the blind and the lame, expectant mothers and women in labour; a great throng will return. 9 They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel's father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son

Tuesday evening prayer. Through Lorraine - Holy Spirit wind blowing from the North, down Askern Road, transforming the area he blew through.

Tuesday evening prayer. Through Lorraine - Through Lorraine Paper cut outs of people holding hands and praying for Bentley. This was seen as the churches of Bentley working and praying together.

Friday Morning prayer. Through Ruth - Cracks in a dam wall with water seeping through. The dam wall eventually gave way and what started as one or two trickles became a flood.

Friday Morning prayer. Through Graham - picture of a bottle of fizzy liquid, the pressure was building up inside, and eventually the cork flew out.

November 6 2018

Ruth - Felt I heard "Isaiah 66:9" - "Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?" says the Lord. "Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?" says your God. (NIV). After some prayer through over that Scripture, at the time I felt God was linking it to our pictures of the dam and the corked bottle, Graham, which we'd brought a couple of weeks before as Dave was praying about salvation in Bentley. God is going to fulfil His promises about bringing people to birth in Him. He is not going to take us so far and then "abort".

During the Tuesday prayer meeting that same morning I also felt that the word Jenny brought the previous Friday about mending the nets was also linked in - Just as new parents make preparations for the child that is to come, so we need to be getting things in place.

The above also shared at the CMM on 6 Nov 2018

Also, Graham, brought Isaiah 54:1-8 to the Elders on 3 Dec 2019.

Enlarge the house - soon be bursting at the seams. A church that populates the nations. Pray it prophetically over the church. If we're in the right place, God will make it happen. Starts with praise and worship.
